About ServiceLad
ServiceLad is for people who already own the car. Enter a registration to see tax and MOT status, then set an alert for when DVLA reissues the logbook so ownership changes do not catch you out.
Where our data comes from
- DVLA vehicle enquiry service for tax status, fuel, engine size, colour and registration date.
- DVSA MOT history for test results, expiry dates, recorded mileage and advisories.
- Manufacturer service records, where the manufacturer holds a record for that vehicle.
- Industry provenance data for stolen markers, write-off category and outstanding finance.
ServiceLad is an independent service. It is not part of DVLA or DVSA, and it does not identify the registered keeper.
What we will not do
We do not sell subscriptions and we do not auto-renew anything.
On the £16.99 Complete History Report we authorise your card when you order and take the money only once manufacturer service records have actually been found. If the manufacturer has no service records for the car, you will not be charged. The £9.99 Vehicle Risk Check is charged when you order, because it is delivered whatever the manufacturer holds.
If you add V5C alerts to the Complete History Report and no service records are found, we do not release the whole payment. We keep the £9.99 risk check plus the price of your V5C alerts, and release the rest, because the risk check and the monitoring are delivered either way.
