ServiceLad pricing
A Vehicle Risk Check costs £9.99 and a Complete History Report costs £16.99. Both are one-off payments for a single registration. There is no subscription, no renewal and no membership.

What happens if you find no service records?
If the manufacturer has no service records for the car, you will not be charged. This applies to the £16.99 Complete History Report only. When you order it we authorise the payment but do not take it, look for the manufacturer's records, and charge the card only once we have found some. If there are none, the authorisation is released and nothing leaves your account. Depending on your bank the hold can take a few days to clear from your statement.
The £9.99 Vehicle Risk Check is charged when you order, the normal way. Its checks run against stolen, write-off and finance data we can always reach, so it is delivered whatever the manufacturer holds and there is nothing to make it conditional on.
If you add V5C alerts to the Complete History Report and no service records are found, we do not release the whole payment. We keep the £9.99 risk check plus the price of your V5C alerts, and release the rest, because the risk check and the monitoring are delivered either way.
Manufacturer service records exist for most, but not all, vehicles: coverage depends on the manufacturer, whether the car was serviced at a franchised dealer, and how far back that manufacturer's digital records go.

How do you pay?
Payment is taken once, by card, through Stripe. ServiceLad never sees or stores your card details. There is nothing to cancel afterwards because nothing recurs.
- Vehicle Risk Check £9.99: Charged when you order. These checks run against data we can always reach, so there is no no-find-no-fee condition on this one.
- Complete History Report £16.99: Authorised when you order, charged only once manufacturer service records have been found. If there are none, the hold is released and you pay nothing.
