Owning a Jaguar: what to keep on top of
Change the oil on time on Ingenium diesels, give diesels a regular longer run to keep the particulate filter clear, and make sure software and recall updates are done at a Jaguar retailer.
- Oil changes on 2.0 Ingenium diesels with a timing chain.
- Diesel particulate filter care on cars used for short trips.
- Software and recall updates from a Jaguar retailer.
- Charging and battery health on the electric I-Pace.
Is my Jaguar ULEZ compliant?
Petrol Jaguars registered from 2006 generally meet ULEZ, and the electric I-Pace is exempt. Diesel XE, XF and F-Pace models need Euro 6, which most registered from September 2015 meet. An older XF diesel often pays the £12.50 daily charge.
Can you get a Jaguar service history by registration?
Jaguar retailers record services and software updates digitally. For Jaguars from model year 2012 the Full HPI Check with Service History reads the record for £14.95. If there is none, the service history part is not charged.
Which Jaguar models can be checked?
Every Jaguar with a UK registration, including the XE, XF, XJ, F-Pace, E-Pace, F-Type and I-Pace.
